Staff Training

Our success is the result of almost 20 years’ commitment and dedication from our team of diligent and hard-working employees who are able to learn from their experiences and adapt to the different challenges provided by the varying needs of our Customers. The staff’s motivation and commitment is engendered in the Company’s Working Practices, whereby all employees are required to develop their skill sets on a continuous basis throughout their employment with Mobile Care Services Ltd. Creating and delivering a quality of life that respects our Customers’ independence and meets their aspirations is essential.

We actively recruit staff from a wide variety of backgrounds ensuring that the staff make-up reflects the diversity of our Customers. It is not essential to have previous experience in a formal care setting, as you will receive full training, but a caring nature, a willingness to learn new things and a commitment to the ethos of the organisation are essential. As a new Community Support Worker with Mobile Care Services Ltd you will be able to access opportunities to learn new skills and gain nationally recognised qualifications as well as further developing your existing knowledge.

Our aim is to develop your knowledge and to help you to reach your full potential within the Domiciliary Care profession. In your first week you will be required to attend for your induction programme to introduce you to the role of a Community Support Worker and to gain an insight to the activities and tasks that you will be undertaking such as: Personalisation, Safe Administration of Medication, Infection Control, Personal Support, Continence Management, Movement and Handling and The Common Induction Standards. New Community Support Workers are inducted further into their role by experienced mentors by way of a shadowing programme before being assessed for their suitability to work independently.

After having completed your basic enrolment training and successfully passed your probationary period, our first priority is to train and develop your capabilities further to attain a QCF Credit or Diploma status in Health and Social Care. This is a mandatory qualification that will be funded via the company and is a recognised qualification that will stay with you for life. As a reward for completion of this qualification, you will receive an enhanced rate of pay.

Ongoing training programmes are provided to all staff to enhance knowledge and skills and as part of your continued professional development. Subjects include: First Aid, Health and Safety practices and procedures, Palliative Care, Multiple Sclerosis, Cerebral Palsy, Stroke Awareness, Dementia care, Diabetes, Muscular Dystrophy, and Parkinson’s Disease.

Your exciting career in Health and Social Care starts here and we look forward to welcoming you to the team.
